Glas Social (“Glas”) is a photo and video sharing app published by GLASSOCIAL, LLC (“we”, “us”). This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and how we enforce them. They apply to everyone who uses Glas, on every platform, and to all content, profiles, comments, stories and private messages.
Zero tolerance
Glas has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. We prohibit, remove and report it, and we permanently ban any account involved.
Glas is for adults only
You must be 18 or older to create an account or use Glas. We ask for date of birth at sign-up and block anyone who says they are under 18. If we learn or reasonably suspect that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it. Anyone can report a suspected underage user using the reporting tools below.
What is prohibited
The following are prohibited on Glas, whether in public posts, stories, comments, profiles, usernames or private messages:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any image, video, audio, text or other content that depicts, describes or promotes the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a minor (anyone under 18).
- Sexualized content involving minors of any kind, including suggestive, nude or partially nude images of minors, even if not explicit.
- Computer-generated, AI-generated, drawn, animated or edited content that depicts or appears to depict minors in a sexual way.
- Grooming: contacting, befriending or building trust with a minor for sexual purposes, or attempting to move a minor to another platform for that purpose.
- Sextortion: threatening to share intimate images of anyone, including a minor, to get money, more images or other demands.
- Soliciting, offering, sharing, trading, linking to or asking for CSAM or sexual content involving minors.
- Child sex trafficking, or advertising or arranging the sexual exploitation of a minor.
- Content that praises, normalizes, encourages or gives instructions for the sexual abuse of children.
- Any attempt to identify, locate or contact a minor for sexual purposes.
- Using Glas to share or ask for minors’ personal information for any of the purposes above.
How we prevent and detect abuse
- Adults-only accounts with age confirmation at sign-up.
- Automated scanning of uploaded images and videos against known CSAM hash databases, such as PhotoDNA or Google’s CSAI Match.
- Review of reported content and accounts by trained staff.
- Blocking and reporting tools available on every profile, post, comment and private message.
- Removal of content and accounts that break these standards, without warning.
- Measures to stop banned users from creating new accounts.
How to report
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (911 in the United States) first.
In the Glas app
- On a post, comment, story or profile, tap the menu (…) and choose Report.
- In a private message, press and hold the message (or open the conversation menu) and choose Report.
- Choose “Child safety” (or the closest option) and submit.
You can also block the account so it can no longer contact you.
By email
Write to childsafety@glassocial.com. Include the username, a link or description of the content, and anything else that helps us find it. Do not attach or forward images or videos of suspected child sexual abuse, even to us; describe them instead. You do not need a Glas account to report.
To the authorities
You can also report directly to the authorities:
- United States: the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
- Outside the United States: your national police or hotline. A list of hotlines is at inhope.org.
What happens after a report
- We review child safety reports as our highest priority, within 24 hours.
- We remove violating content and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material and child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by U.S. law (18 U.S.C. 2258A), and to other national authorities where the law requires.
- We preserve related content and account information for law enforcement as the law requires.
- We do not tell the reported user who reported them.
Working with law enforcement
We cooperate with law enforcement investigating child sexual abuse and exploitation. Law enforcement agencies can contact us at childsafety@glassocial.com. We respond to valid legal process and to emergency requests involving risk of death or serious harm to a child.
Compliance
We comply with child safety laws that apply to Glas, including U.S. federal law on reporting CSAM to NCMEC, and we follow Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy. We review these standards at least once a year and when the law changes.
Child safety contact
Our designated child safety contact can answer questions about our CSAM prevention practices and compliance.
